A Possible “Jehoash Re-Occurrence” in Trump?

I was reading the book of Obadiah recently and some nuggets of information jumped off the pages that I wanted to share with you.
What you may or may not know is that the book of Obadiah is the shortest book in the bible. It only has one chapter and just 21 verses. So it is easily read in a few minutes.
But there is a lot there and the message that I took away from it was this… ‘Always do the right thing.”
The book of Obadiah talks about when Israel was two countries, Edom (Esau) and Israel (Jacob).
In this book we see Israel being attacked by her enemies. Edom had the chance to do the right thing and help out their fellow brothers, but they stood by and did nothing.
Obadiah tells us that we as God’s Children are to never step away from our moral responsibility.
In fact, there are many examples in scripture that teach us that we cannot escape our moral responsibility by saying that we shall decide to do nothing. One such example is found in Obadiah.
Obadiah 1:11 states…”In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them.”
God was upset because Edom had the chance to do something by getting involved, but instead the stood by and watched Israel be assaulted by her enemies.
James 4:17 says the following… “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
I think you see where I am going with all of this.
On Facebook I have been seeing a lot of people say that they are going to sit this election out.
In fact I am reading a whole lot of prideful pious reasons as to why they are not going to vote or cast a vote for someone who has no hope in ever winning.
People forget that we lost the culture war a long time ago and that we are living in a post Christian nation.
25 years ago was the time to stand up and make a difference, at that time we would have made a difference, but no one did it.
Today our post Christian nation is in shambles and people are now allowing their pious pride get the best of them.
Friends, I honestly believe that if Hillary Clinton wins this election that our nation is done for.
Everyone thinks that Obama is the spawn of Satan. Well, if Hillary gets in our nation and the world will be making a huge tail spin, one that I do not see us recovering from.
The fact that who ever gets in will name at least 4 Supreme Court Justices is what is truly at stake. If Hillary wins, I can see Justice Thomas stepping down as well and that would give her 5 Supreme Court Justices she can name.
Looking at Argentina’s history, Cristina Kirchner was able to take over as “president” of Argentina from her dead husband with the help of their supreme courts, whom she helped stack in her favor. She helped run the country while her husband was sick and dying. He was the official president, but she was doing the job the last several years of her husband’s presidency. That is when she stacked the courts in her favor.
Out of all of this she in essence she became dictator.
Hillary will do the same thing if she becomes president.
I have to admit that I had this great article all in my head and I was getting ready to put it down on paper, but Wayne Grudem of Town Hall beat me to it.
I am hearing a lot of lame excuses from Christians who are becoming the “Anything But Trump” crowd.
I can not understand it this mentality, but I challenge you to read Grudem’s article “ Why Voting for Donald Trump Is a Morally Good Choice.”
This article is outstanding and it is why I am presenting it to you on our website. After reading this, if you still have your heels dug in, all I can say is that pride and ignorance is truly standing in your way of doing the right thing.
In other words, for evil to prevail, all a good man (or woman) has to do is nothing.
Folks, this isn’t a regular election. This election will dictate the next 25 – 50 years of our nation.
Many of these people also have this pie in the sky idea that Christ is coming back tomorrow and they don’t have to worry about what our nation is like.
Why should they care, they will be outta here via the rapture before all hell breaks loose.
This is very dangerous thinking and very wrong.
No matter what, God’s Word tells us that we must stand in the gap till that day comes.
That does not mean give up the fight or let the enemy have the high ground. It means continuing the fight till He does call us home.
What many people forget is that none of us know that day or that time. But many have deemed it to be in the coming days, so again, why should they care about what is going to happen in our country. They can’t do anything about it anyways.
God commands His people to remain vigil and continue to do what is right and not shirk our responsibilities.
It also means that for the first time in a long time we as Christians have the chance to possibly stay the judgement by electing someone who I believe will make a difference.
See, I know what Hillary brings. This lady is the epitome of evil, she truly is. If the Anti-Christ could be a woman, I could see Hillary fitting the bill to a “T”.
What people have done is put Donald Trump up on a pedestal and forgetting that he, like all of us are flawed men and women.
Has he made mistakes in his past?
Yes, just like you, just like me.
I look back at some the asinine things I did when I was younger and I cringe just thinking about it.
I honestly believe the Trump will do more good for our nation than Hillary would.
I do not see him as voting for the lesser of two evils either.
What I do see is a possible “Jehoash Re-Occurrence.”
The Tyrian cult of Baal, which had started under Jehoram, and strengthened under Athaliah, was suppressed thanks to King Jehoash. Mattan, the priest of Baal, was killed, the altars of Baal were destroyed, and for the first time in Judah’s history the Jerusalem Temple, and its priesthood achieved national importance.
Scripture says…
2 Kings 12:2 And Jehoash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all his days wherein Jehoiada the priest instructed him.
Jehoash brought God’s blessing back to the Northern Kingdom because he tried to do the right thing and get rid of much of the evil that Rehoboam and his father, Ahaziah, allowed in.
We read in scripture that Jehoash had his flaws as well, but he had a heart that was trying to do good.
The first 30 years of his reign he brought peace to Israel and Israel was blessed because if it.
After he died though, Israel went down the tubes and eventually Babylon came in and captured the nation and took the people of Israel out of the land.
Because of Jehoash, Israel got a “reprieve” of sorts. God’s judgement was pushed off for a season. But once he passed away, God’s judgement was put back on track and the people of Israel were made captive by Babylon.
Folks, I do not see any sort of duel prophecy taking place here.
What I possibly see is man repeating his own history and we see a possible example from scripture via Jehoash.
I believe that Trump will do his best because I honestly believe that he loves the country and will honestly try to do the right thing. Because of that, I think that our nation will get a “reprieve” of sorts.
Many people ask me why I am voting for Trump.
I am voting for him because I see a possible “Jehoash Re-Occurrence” in Trump and believe that he will do the best he can and try to set our nation on a positive path.
Because of a Trump presidency we might see 4 – 8 years of a “reprieve.” But no matter what, I believe that God’s Judgement on our nation is coming and there will be consequences to be paid for our actions as well as our lack of action to do what is right.
So my prayers for our nation is that God give us mercy and that he gives us a reprieve from what many believe to be the inevitable.
I am also praying that God protect Trump and continue to surround him with good Christian men who can influence him.
Who knows, we might see Trump come to the saving grace of our Lord out of all of this.
If that does happen, then that makes it a game changer for sure not only for our selves but also for our nation.
There is a realistic chance that could happen. But absolutely no chance for that to happen if Hillary gets elected. She is a pure reprobate and her fruit shows it.
I can’t say that with Trump’s fruit. There is good fruit there in him. I just hope that others see it as well and cast their vote for Trump instead of doing nothing and allowing crooked evil Hillary to win.

Jehoash – A Good King Renews A Nation
Jehoash was the great grandson of Solomon and a king of the northern kingdom of Israel. When Jehoash was crowned, the covenant was renewed between God, the king, and the nation. He was only 7 years old at that time.
