[ltr]The Ministry of Water Resources, Sunday, from the start the Shatt al-Arab channel irrigation in the province of Basra.[/ltr]
[ltr]The Director General of the Public Authority for projects of irrigation and reclamation in the ministry Thaer Dhari in a ministry statement received / balances News /, a copy of it, "we started to run the Shatt Arabian Canal irrigation and in cooperation with the General Authority for the operation of irrigation and drainage projects, one of the formations and the Ministry of Water Resources."[/ltr]
[ltr]He Dhari, that "the irrigation channel starting from Ktiban area and the conduct of the entire aim of the freshwater areas to the south of Basra province to provide and which areas FAO and Abu Fertile that were deprived as a result of tidal salt from the Gulf, in addition to providing water quotas for agricultural land and plants liquefaction working there."
