Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aliya Nusayif, of the Hurra Iraqiya bloc called the parliament to sue the media outlets that agitate sectarianism.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, she said “There are some media outlets that agitate sectarianism by showing historical events in order to create the sectarian sedition.”

“The role of these media outlets is not less dangerous than terrorism but it is a supplementary to them,” she added.

“This issue is not only the responsibility of the Media and Communications Commission, but also it is the responsibility of the parliament and the parliament Speaker where the parliament represents the Iraqi people and preserves the social texture and requested to sue these media outlets that threaten this texture,” she concluded.
