[ltr]The White House announced that US President Barack Obama will meet Monday Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly in New York.[/ltr]
[ltr]He noted Ben Rhodes, Obama adviser that the two leaders will discuss the fight against al-Daesh, especially the ongoing battle to restore the preparations of Mosul, Iraq's second largest city and the last stronghold of the militant group in Iraq.[/ltr]
[ltr]Rhodes explained that the meeting between the two men will also allow discuss ways to "support the economic and political stability of Iraq."[/ltr]
[ltr]The US president also will benefit from the recent General Assembly before the end of his mandate, to meet with Nigerian counterparts Mohammed Bukhari and Colombian Juan Manuel Santos.[/ltr]
