The U.S. election brought down Citizenship and Immigration Canada's website as Americans considered moving north.

As the results of the U.S. presidential election pour in, Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s website appeared to be inaccessible to some users.
Clicking on the site around 11 p.m. ET resulted in an error that stated “there is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.”
Two hours later, it still wasn’t working. CIC has not yet commented on the apparent outage

Clinton calls Trump to congratulate him on victory Twitter users have suggested it’s proof Americans are flooding the site with requests because they’re not happy about the results and considering moving north.

However, moving to Canada isn’t as easy as some might assume.

Had Killary won, I would have wanted to move to Canada.
