"

    He said the high source said that " the meeting It ended after midnight Sunday, and continued for more than four hours, was intended to develop a unified position of the parliamentary election law , "adding that" themeeting saw an exchange of views between the political blocs and the three presidencies in order to reach a consensus on the law. " The political blocs have demanded in the past days to amend the existing Election Law in the formation of a new Electoral Commission under the supervision of the United Nations before proceeding to make any parliamentary or local elections, to ensure fairness. 
    In a related context, the Parliamentary Committee of the regions, Sunday confirmed that the request for theformation of Basra province meets the legal requirements, and suggested the possibility of a referendum on the territory of Basra , in conjunction with the provincial election.
