Allaibi calls for French oil companies to expand its work in Iraq

Twilight News / met with Oil Minister Ali Hussein Jabar Luaibi, in his office on Monday, the French ambassador in Iraq Marc Baretti and his accompanying delegation, and discussed with him ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the oil and gas sector, according to a statement issued by the ministry.
The statement quoted Luaibi as saying that "Iraq and France share a historical good relations," stressing "the necessity of enhancing them in all fields, particularly in the oil and gas industry."
He added that "there is a large and promising investment opportunities contribute to the development of cooperation and relations, adding that the Oil Ministry plan for the current year and next focused on the development of oil production and gas investment," calling to expand the work of the French oil companies through investment sharing contracts in this area as well as in the sectors refineries, distribution and infrastructure or in the rest of the projects that will direct them through 2017.
He Allaibi ministry has also launched a new era and it will go for the development of the oil and gas sector, pointing to create the appropriate environment for continued progress for the development of this important economic sector.
