    Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Russian Lukoil Company called the Iraqi authorities to amend its Qurna-2 contract to enable it increase its oil production.


    Iraqi oil minister Jabbar Ali al-Li'aibi met last Thursday with the president of the company Alekperov, where the two sides discussed "reasonable" amendments to the current contract and expanding investment cooperation in 2017.



    The production of Qurna-2 oilfield, located in Basra province, exceeded 30 million tons since its first production in March, 2014, with an average daily production that reached to 450.000 b/d, according to Iraqi oil ministry sources.
