Turkish Prime Minister Ben Ali Yildirim said in televised remarks Sunday that Turkish artillery shelled the Daesh sites in the nearby city ofMosul Ba'shiqah northern Iraq after Kurdish Peshmerga forces requested support. Reuters quoted Yildirim as saying to reporters ,"Peshmerga forces have requested assistance from our soldiers in Ba'shiqah base. We offer support with artillery, tanks and howitzers." Ankara says that around 700 Turkish soldiers are working to train Iraqi forces at a base Ba'shiqah to help expel the organization Daesh of the country.
He praised the US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter, yesterday, to "full coordination" between Iraqi government forces and Kurdish Peshmerga in attack on Mosul, although inherent tension between Baghdad and the local government in Erbil. And arrived Carter, on Sunday morning, to Arbil , capital of Iraqi Kurdistan to discuss the role that the Kurdish forces played in the Battle of the restoration of Mosul, the second largest city of Iraq, organized by Daesh terrorist.
The US minister met Saturday in Baghdad , Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al - Abadi , military commander of theinternational coalition Washington led by US Gen. Stephen Townsend. Carter said , "We want to see the start of isolating tenderness as soon as possible about the process." "We are working with our partners there (in Syria) to do so," adding , "These operations will be simultaneous."
Carter explained that the idea of waging two simultaneous processes in Mosul and tenderness "is part of our planning for a long time."
