said the parliamentary Economic Committee member Nora albegari/JD/:
that Iraq plans to establish three free trade zones in the country with
other countries.
She albegari to the largest of these three areas will be with the Jordanian side.
The
Deputy Minister said that the current political disputes and confused
the country's economic situation had stopped these plans until last.
Earlier,
the General Authority for free zones of the Ministry of finance is to
visit Iran later this month to complete negotiations for the
establishment of a joint free zone between the two countries.
The
Director General this morning in favour of Al-Qaisi/JD/: a delegation
from the free zones will visit Iran at (25/1), to complete the
negotiations for the establishment of a joint free zone between the two
countries to exercise service activities, commercial and industrial.
He added Al-Qaisi, the select guest, economic adviser to the Iranian Embassy in Iraq that the Commission visited last month.
He said the Iraqi side informed Iran that deadline to complete the visit.
The
General Authority for free zones of the Ministry of finance last month,
discussed with the Iranian Embassy's economic adviser promoting
economic reality between the two countries.
According to a statement
of the information Office of the free zones time: that a delegation
headed by economic adviser at the Iranian Embassy Baqer Jouini visited
free areas and discussed the prospects for joint cooperation and boost
trade in the interest of neighbouring countries.
It said: that the
delegation had provided a detailed explanation about the possibility of
establishing a joint free zone for service activities, commercial and
industrial.
He: that the Commission expressed its readiness to
provide all forms of support to ensure the success of this idea of their
importance in encouraging investment and diversify State revenues and
