    [ltr]Hold Jordan, Iraq, on Sunday, a new round of talks on extending an oil pipeline between the two countries after the postponed earlier because of higher security risks in light of the difficult circumstances that Iraq is going through at the moment.[/ltr]

    [ltr]The head and Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ibrahim Saif, to the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Sunday for an official visit.[/ltr]

    [ltr]According to a government statement that "the Jordanian minister will be during the visit talks for two days with his Iraqi counterpart, Jabar Luaibi, and senior Iraqi officials concentrated on ways of enhancing joint cooperation in the energy sector and joint ventures between the two countries, especially the project Jordanian Iraqi oil pipeline."[/ltr]

    [ltr]The two sides will also discuss the latest developments in the project to build a pipeline to export Iraqi oil through the port of Aqaba with the possibility of pipeline natural gas in order to diversify its natural gas sources in Jordan.[/ltr]

    [ltr]It is expected that the Jordanian minister will hold talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi.[/ltr]

    [ltr]It is planned to walk along the line of the gas pipeline to supply both Egypt and Jordan, their needs of gas to take advantage of the Arab gas pipeline between the Jordanian and Egyptian sides.[/ltr]

    [ltr]And renewed Cairo, Baghdad and Amman, recently, a memorandum of understanding to boost cooperation in the oil and natural gas fields, aiming to take advantage of the surplus of oil and gas production in Iraq to secure the needs of Jordan, Egypt and the creation of export outlets for Iraq across the two countries. The estimated cost of the project estimated between 3 and 5 billion dollars.[/ltr]
