Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hoshyar Zebari, received a call from the Secretary General of the Arab League, Nabil al-Arabi, on Saturday.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by IraqiNews.com cited “Arabi welcomed the resolution of the UN Security Council over relieving Iraq from the sanctions imposed according the 7th Chapter of UN Charter.”
“Arabi considered the resolution as a national and historical achievement for Iraq as he congratulated the Iraq and Kuwaiti people on the occasion,” the statement concluded.
On last Thursday evening, the UN Security Council endorsed the resolution of relieving Iraq from the limits imposed on it according to the UN 7th Chapter.
