    The Central Committee of the Iraqi Communist Party was elected, on Sunday, acommittee member Raed Fahmi new secretary of the party, after the withdrawal ofhis predecessor , Hamid Majid Moussa of thenomination race in the tenth National Congress. 
    He said the central committee member Jassim Hilfi in an interview to the (long - Presse), " The Central Committee of the Iraqi Communist Party was elected, a member of the Committee Raed Fahmi secretary of the party, after the withdrawal of the former secretary Hamid Majid Moussa of the nomination race during thetenth National Congress." It is said that Raed Fahmi was born in 1950 and holds a PhD in Economics from Queen Mary College in London, and served as minister of science and technology in the government of Nouri al - Maliki , the first 2006- 2010. He concluded the Iraqi Communist, on Saturday, the national congress X, after delegates acknowledged, after extensive discussions, the documents submitted to the Conference of theprojects, has also been elect a new leadership committee of the party. In turn, congratulated the president Fuad Masum, on Sunday evening, the new secretary of the Communist Party of the Iraqi Raid Fahmi on his election to the post, while the price of the party 's role in the political life of Iraq. Masum said in acongratulatory telegram seen by the (range), he was " on the occasion of your election as the new secretary of the Iraqi Communist Party and the success of the Party Congress, Nhdakm warmest congratulations coupled Pettmnaatna you personally more Muwafaqiya and the glory, and the Communist Party of Iraq, theleadership and members and the masses, success and greatness Time." Masum said , " On this occasion , the good, we appreciate the role of the Iraqi Communist Party and your role in the political life of our country ,both in the struggle against dictatorship and tyranny , or for building a new Iraq in the political process framework of cooperation and joint work with the various forces of the people 's patriotic and democratic of all the components."
