Trump Counselor Kellyanne Conway Struggles to Find School in Liberal D.C. for Her 4 Kids

By Cheryl Chumley - on December 29, 2016

Once again, the tolerant left – the same that talks about the need for conservatives to bend their wills and bypass their principles in the name of acceptance of all – has raised its hypocritical head, this time turning ire over Donald Trump’s win toward the president-elect’s newly appointed counselor, Kellyanne Conway, and snubbing her attempts to find private schooling for her four children in Washington, D.C.
Trump Counselor Kellyanne Conway Struggles to Find School in Liberal D.C. for Her 4 Kids Conway-300x129Kellyanne Conway, Donald Trump’s new pick for White House counselor, is struggling with the left-leaning schools in Washington. D.C., who apparently are balking at her requests to teach her four children.
As the New York Post reports:
“Kellyanne Conway is worried establishment elites in Washington, DC, are so prejudiced against President-elect Trump that she won’t be able to get her kids into private school in the nation’s capital. …
“While in DC on Wednesday with her kids looking at schools, Conway told [the Post’s Richard Johnson], ‘I would not characterize myself as ‘worried’ so much as amused by the silence and sighs on the other end of the phone when friends and allies have made preliminary inquiries on our behalf.'”
Conway, who served as Trump’s campaign manager, was recently appointed to serve in the White House as the president-elect’s counselor, and as such, has to move her family, including four children, to Washington, D.C. Her husband, George, was the attorney who wrote the Supreme Court brief during the Paula Jones sexual harassment suit against Bill Clinton.
    Again, from the Post:
“Conway divulged her fears [of finding new D.C. schools] to other parents at the Elisabeth Morrow School in Englewood, NJ, on Thursday night, when her twins, George and Claudia, performed a concert with other students. Alicia Keys was also there to hear her goddaughter perform. …
“‘But after the concert, all the parents converged on Kellyanne, congratulating and sucking up to her,’ said one source. ‘Kellyanne is asking everyone with connections to DC schools for help.’ …
“While the posh private schools’ handbooks and websites all preach ‘diversity’ and ‘open-mindedness,’ Conway said, ‘For some, there is a comfort in sameness.'”
It’s interesting how the left thinks. On one hand, liberals justify Big Government intrusions as “for the children” necessities – for instance, taxes must be raised to pay to provide world-class education and world-class teachers to provide “for the children.”
But Conway’s kids? Apparently, the fact Conway is Republican, and a much-hated Trump Republican, no less, is too hard for those on the left to stomach. And sadly, as well as hypocritically, they’re seemingly passing that distaste on to the very children they normally claim to love and revere.
Once again, it’s the left’s version of tolerance – meaning, only those with identical opinions that tout the liberal line are to be tolerated.
    As the Hill noted:
“D.C. voted for Hillary Clinton over Trump, giving her 90 percent of the vote.”
