Trump responds to Obama’s sanctions on Russia

Earlier today, President Barack Obama imposed sanctions on Russia for the alleged hacking of the DNC which some would say were crucial to the outcome of the elections. Obama cast 35 Russian intelligence officers out of the country, and imposed sanctions on Russian intelligence agencies believed to have been involved in the cyberattack.
But President-elect Trump has decided to throw his two-cents in, and continuing with his stance, he believes it’s time for us to “move on.”
“It’s time for our country to move on to bigger and better things,” said Trump in a statement Thursday evening. “Nevertheless, in the interest of our country and its great people, I will meet with leaders of the intelligence community next week in order to be updated on the facts of this situation.”
While Trump might be looking into the situation with the help of the intelligence community, the president-elect has made it clear that he doesn’t believe Russia had any involvement with the hacks, and in a statement on Wednesday said “”I think we ought to get on with our lives.”
In a recent joint report, the FBI and DHS have formally attributed the hacking to Russia.
