    Between the head of the parliamentary legal committee, Mohsen al-Sadoun, Wednesday, that the parliament Geller binding amendment of all the paragraphs of the amnesty law recently sent by the Council of Ministers.
    Sadoun said in an interview for "direction Press" that this amendment sent to parliament three months ago and was refunded and today has resubmitted and will be discussed by the Legal Committee, pointing out that he will be working with some positive paragraphs pertaining to the defendants innocent.
    He said al-Sadoun said the main points of contention in the general amnesty law is a state kidnapping by calling on the government not to cover all the kidnappers to this law, explaining that the Parliament previously voted on the inclusion of cases of kidnapping that did not cause death or disabilities sustained to the victim and not a terrorist motivated in addition to the waiver with the victim and get a reconciliation between the two parties.
    Al-Saadoun added that with regard to the rest of the paragraphs of the law will be considered and the parliament to approve his choice or not in the coming sessions.
    And the voice of the House of Representatives (16/01/2017), in principle, to amend the Law of the general amnesty.
    A statement by the Office of the Chairman of the House of Representatives that "Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jubouri, a request from members of the House of Representatives to vote to approve or not to discuss the amendment submitted by the government on the amnesty law."
    He pointed out that "the House of Representatives voted by majority to accept the proposals of the draft amendment to the General Amnesty Law, in principle, to discuss and vote on the clauses."
