Economic Adviser to the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, on Thursday, revealed the size of Iraq's debt after the recent statements of the Finance Committee, which said it exceeds $ 100 billion, confirming that it is $ 46 billion.
Saleh said in a statement / information /, "The parliamentary Finance Committee's remarks on Iraq's debt size is exaggerated," noting that "there are $ 40 billion, subject to the agreement of the Paris Club and return to the nine countries that have not been settled so far, and in the majority of illegal claims not out to her".
He added that "it was written off other debts increased by 80-100 percent, while the other debt and $ 46 billion represents the internal debt, not foreign ungovernable," explaining that "the installation of religion and the concept differ according to the principle of proportionality."
And Saleh, that "there is a standard of debt requires no more than 3 percent of gross domestic product, as we are now at 8 percent , meaning the debt still exists, in other words , but public debt balance over 60 percent of GDP , which is the rate that we've got to and it is within safe levels, according to the global scale.
