Trump confirms to Abbadi the need for continued cooperation in the military field

US President Donald Trump stressed the need for continued military cooperation between Iraq and the United States. This came during a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Haider Abadi.
"The Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi received a telephone call from US President Donald Trump," the press office of Abadi said in a statement received by Mawazine News.
The statement added that "during the communication, the two sides discussed enhancing relations between the two countries in various fields and the victories achieved on the international support and support for Iraq in the fight against terrorism."
"The cooperation between the two countries must continue, especially in the military field," Trump said, expressing his admiration for "the courage and intelligence of the Iraqi people, who have all the love and respect and that we will eliminate the gangs inevitably."
For his part, Abadi said, "Our heroes are winning consecutive victories over Dahesh whose defeat has become very close," adding "the importance of continued international support for Iraq."
