Vote for the exemption of the President of the Information and Communications Authority from his post in the presence of 220 deputies
BAGHDAD, April 11 (KUNA) - The House of Representatives voted in its 24th ordinary session held under the chairmanship of Salim al-Jubouri, in the presence of 220 deputies, on Tuesday to exempt the head of the media and communications authority.
At the beginning of the session, Mr. Al-Jubouri, on behalf of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, condemned the heinous crimes that targeted churches in Egypt and claimed the lives of a number of Egyptian citizens and all crimes and crimes aimed at the social fabric, announcing a meeting of heads of parliamentary blocs and committees on Wednesday in the Constitutional Hall to discuss the draft laws of the Electoral Commission and the Court Federal and civil service and other legislation to resolve the most recent during the current legislative term.
Regarding the exemption of the chairman of the media and communications authority, al-Jubouri said that "the request for exemption submitted by a number of deputies based on the constitution concerns the right of the House of Representatives to question ministers and exempt them by an absolute majority of one half plus one." He pointed out that "the Council's right to exempt independent officials, And that the Presidency of the Council did not receive any request that the Chairman of the Information and Communications Authority wishes to appear before the Council to express his position, which means continuation of the exemption procedures. "
The Council voted by an absolute majority of 160 deputies out of 216 deputies to exempt Safa al-Din Rabee head of media and communications from his office at the request of deputies of 50 deputies for not attending the interrogation sessions. AH
