Sources: The amounts carried by the delegation of Qatar to Baghdad airport deposited with the Central Bank of Iraq
BAGHDAD, Iraq, May 26 (Reuters) - Financial sources in Baghdad, who asked not to be identified, disclosed that the amounts carried by Qatar's delegation last month to Baghdad airport had been deposited at the Central Bank of Iraq.
The sources said that "the Foreign Minister of Qatar, who visited Baghdad two days ago, told the Iraqi side that these amounts transferred to Baghdad with the personal diligence of some individuals, which made the Iraqi government free to deal with the funds, where immediately formed a committee of the Central Bank of Iraq and the Ministry of Interior And a number of security agencies competent and transferred the twenty-three bags were held in the presidential lounge at Baghdad airport, and the transfer was carried out under heavy security escort accompanied the fortified car, which transfers money usually until it reached the building of the Central Bank of Iraq in the street Rashid.
