The new Chinese destroyer "Changshu" (from Project 052D) stopped moving in the waters of the Indian Ocean due to a malfunction in its power units.
The East Pendulum site quoted a source with the Chinese navy as saying.
The source said that a group of senior officials of the industrial group CSIC, which produces power units and engines of this kind of warships, was called to attend an emergency meeting in Beijing to discuss the issue.
The site pointed out that the ship was assigned to provide integrated logistics service "Lomaho" to stay near the damaged destroyer.
Some experts believe that the cause of the failure is a break in the propeller shaft Shaft, while others believe that this type of destroyer with two fans and is unlikely to hang at the same time.
It should be noted that the Chinese destroyer mentioned should have been involved in the Russian-Chinese exercises in the Baltic Sea, but after this incident will be replaced by the destroyer, similar to "Hevey."
