Chechen president announces finding relatives of Russian children who were in Iraq
Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov announced on Thursday that the relatives of four Russian children had been taken to Iraq by their parents when they joined the terrorist group Daqash and left them there.
"We met with relatives of two children and two children who were found in Iraq," Kadyrov wrote in his account on the social networking site of Entsgram, referring to children Sultan Aliyev and Ali Muhammadov and sisters Fatima and Khadija.
Kadyrov had posted videos of the children in the Baghdad children's home in Ingrid, who had been brought to Iraq by the children of their parents, who had joined the terrorist group Da'ash, and left them after the liberation of Mosul. Kadyrov expressed the hope that the children of Russia will be found for the return of children to the country.
Kadyrov also said earlier that there were about 300 children with Russian citizenship or citizenship of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), who are in Iraqi orphanages. The authorities are working to repatriate Russian children from Syria and Iraq.
