South Korean President Mon Jie-nen has said that the Korean peninsula will not see any war again, noting that Washington has agreed not to resort to military action against North Korea without his country's consent.

"I say this with certainty that there will be no war on the Korean peninsula again," he said at a 100-day press conference on his inauguration.

"The United States and its president, Donald Trump, have also agreed to discuss any possible options for North Korea, regardless of the options that Pyongyang will use," Moon said.

Moon said US threats of military action aimed at putting pressure on North Korea and did not mean immediate action.

"North Korea's red line is armed with an intercontinental ballistic missile carrying a nuclear war," Moon said, adding that North Korea was about to break this "red line" and that dialogue with it was only possible under the right conditions.

For his part, senior adviser to President Donald Trump on strategic issues, Steve Bannon, that there will be no war with North Korea.

In this context, the newspaper "Prospect" American, citing Bannon, he ruled out the possibility of any military solution on the issue of North Korea.

In recent weeks, Pyongyang has threatened to fire missiles at the Pacific island of Guam, but North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has retracted his threat and recently announced his willingness to "monitor the behavior of the Americans" for more time before carrying out his threats.
