    Dhahi Khalfan, deputy head of police and public security in Dubai, said the end of the Gulf crisis was linked to Qatar's abandonment of the World Cup in 2022.

    "If the World Cup goes away from Qatar, the Qatar crisis will go away, because the crisis is fabricated in order to break it," he said in a tweet on Sunday. "The cost is greater than what al-Hamdine planned for him."

    The Global Cornerstone Consulting Foundation published a report under the headline "Qatar is under the microscope .. Is the 2022 World Cup in danger?" Claiming that Qatar will not be able to meet the requirements of that world event on time.

    When looking for the background of that institution, and its founder, Ghanem Nusseibeh, the relationship between the latter and the UAE is clear. The man is spearheading the campaign of incitement in Qatar.

    Hassan Abdullah al-Thawadi, secretary-general of the Qatar's top projects and heritage committee responsible for stadium projects and infrastructure for the World Cup, told the Associated Press on Friday that his country's siege would not pose a threat to the tournament.
