[rtl]Turkey told the Iraqi government to limit its dealings with Baghdad in the field of oil and energy.[/rtl]
[rtl]"Minister Jabbar al-Luaibi met the Turkish ambassador in Baghdad, Fatih Yildiz, and stressed the importance of strengthening and expanding bilateral relations between Iraq and Turkey, and in a way that enhances the expansion of the bilateral cooperation between the two neighboring countries," the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.[/rtl]
[rtl]He added that "bilateral relations will see a great development during the coming period, especially in the field of oil and energy," calling on "Turkish companies to participate and invest in the implementation of projects in the oil sector."[/rtl]
[rtl]The statement pointed out that "the Turkish ambassador confirmed that the Turkish government decided to limit its oil transactions with the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Oil and the Turkish company (TPAO) will resume its activities soon in the Mansuriya gas field in Diyala province."[/rtl]
[rtl]For his part, the Turkish ambassador expressed his country's interest in economic cooperation with Iraq and that he discussed with the Minister of Oil a number of issues and issues of common concern and that the coming days will witness the activation and development of the volume of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.[/rtl]
[rtl]Iraq last week submitted a formal request to Iran and Turkey in dealing with the federal government exclusively with regard to the border crossings and also stop all commercial transactions, especially regarding the export of oil and sell it with the Kurdistan region.[/rtl]
