Pentagon confirms the presence of 1720 US military in Syria
The Ministry of Defense announced that the number of its troops in Syria reached 1720 military, having previously talked about the presence of about 500 US military in this country.
A new Pentagon report released on Monday (November 27th) indicated that the number of US troops in Iraq, according to the ministry's data on September 30, was 8892, while the number of troops in Afghanistan reached 15,928.
US officials said last week that the number of US troops in Syria up to 2000 people, most of them special forces, according to channel, " CNN ", after the representative of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Kenneth McKenzie had previously announced that the number of US forces in Syria about 500 people .
The Washington Post reported on Wednesday that the United States planned to maintain its military presence in northern Syria even after the defeat of the terrorist organization "Da'ash".
Meanwhile, the Interfax news agency reported on Monday (November 27th) that Syrian Kurdish media reported the presence of about 4,000 international coalition troops against the US-led "Daqash".
The total number of US troops stationed abroad is 257,300, and the largest number of US troops in Japan is approximately 45,000, Germany 36,000 and South Korea, approximately 25,000.
