A document of the new American nuclear doctrine has revealed its recognition of Russia's multiple advantages in the production of nuclear weapons and its superiority over the United States and its allies in this field.
New US nuclear doctrine: Washington is preparing to fight a nuclear war of limited scope
The newspaper " Huffington Post " that the document, which was disclosed states that "Russia has significant advantages compared to the United States and its allies in the field of nuclear weapons as well as non-strategic nuclear forces."
The new American doctrine also explained that Russia "is working to create a wide range of non-strategic systems, which can be nuclear as well as ordinary weapons," characterized by their variety and sophistication.
The document stressed that Russia is working to modernize its nuclear ballistic missiles, as well as the production of new interceptor missiles.
The Pentagon has commented on excerpts from the new US military doctrine, which has been disclosed, saying there are more than one version of these documents, and the final wording must be endorsed by President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary James Matisse.
