    The Information and Communication Authority announced the suspension of the work of Fastlink Internet Company in Kirkuk and Mosul.
     
    "In cooperation and coordination with the security authorities represented by the National Security Agency and through a qualitative process to stop work and reservation on the technical equipment and transmitters belonging to the fast-track company and the closure of all its offices," the statement said.
     
    "This security and legal action was taken against Fastlink for the processing of Internet services via wireless technologies in Kirkuk and Nineveh governorates, theft, use of spectrum and the deployment of telecommunications services without obtaining official approvals and licenses by the Communications and Information Authority."
     
    "The TRA will take all legal measures, impose fines and pay the fees for frequencies used by all unlicensed companies."
     
    He pointed out that the TRA is continuing its procedures to regulate the telecommunications sector in the Republic of Iraq in accordance with the regulations and regulatory procedures and powers granted to it under the Legislative Decree (65) of 2004 in force.
