    The US tank company Abrams has stopped maintenance work in Iraq on the grounds of providing one of the popular crowd, one source said.
    The source told ( Iraqi News Agency Information / INA ) that "the American tank company (Abrams) withdrew from its location at the airport Muthanna in Baghdad, to consider Iraq is in violation of the contract with Abrams, which states that the Iraqi army is the only authority authorized to use the Abrams.
    "The company was addressing the government with information indicating that the Iraqi army was provided with two tanks. The government then recovered one of them from one of the popular crowd during the operations of cleansing the Euphrates highlands in Anbar," he said.
    The source said that "the government had pledged to return the tank early in the second month," adding that "the problem resulted in last December, and the company is still out of work in protest against the veto one of the most important clauses of the contract."
    "The company staff Abrams were leaving Iraq in conjunction with the New Year holidays, and did not return until the moment, especially as the Iraqi government is still committed to return the tank to the maintenance estate at the company's site in early February," noting that "the company threatened to withdraw from Iraq If it is proved that the tank has been cloned by a regional state linked to the grassroots factions. "
    The number of tanks owned by Iraq of the type of Abrams M1 is 140 tanks, out of which 60 of the service during the recent battles in Mosul, and the company maintained to restore them to service, before it stopped completely during the month of December.
