    [ltr]On Monday, the House of Representatives issued a clarification on the law of the Union of Iraqi Parliamentarians, calling on all media to be accurate and objective in dealing with the news of the Council.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"A number of media outlets and social networking sites have circulated in recent days a report on the approval by the House of Representatives of the law of the Union of Iraqi Parliamentarians, which includes supposed new privileges for MPs," the media department said in a statement received by Mawazine News.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Department stressed that "the legislation (the law of the Union of Iraqi parliamentarians) was not conducted in secret or suddenly as some claim, but was approved in accordance with the legislative contexts in force in the Council by presenting the first reading on 12/10/2016 and the second reading 7/2/2017 and vote On 17/4/2017 as stated in the reports of the information department, which was published on the official website of the House of Representatives for each of those sessions immediately after the lifting or termination.[/ltr]
