     Information / Baghdad ..
The parliamentary committee on investment and economy revealed on Wednesday the most important challenges facing the government during the Kuwait conference of donor countries, likely to decrease the amounts of grants because of the fear of donor countries of the spread of corruption in construction projects and the rise in international oil prices.
"The government is facing the challenges of gaining confidence because of the spread of corruption, which reduces the funds given directly to the reconstruction of the affected areas," said Najeeb Najib, a member of the committee.
"The world countries will depend on grants in kind, such as sending companies specialized in infrastructure reconstruction or demining, improving the service situation and sending experts in all fields without giving the government direct amounts to avoid waste of money," Najib said.
"The rise of world oil prices will negatively affect the amounts awarded at the conference because Iraq is one of the most important exporters of oil and if the continued rise will increase the government spending and dependence on its resources without the need for assistance," noting that "the government seeks to provide about $ 55 billion of the conference In the form of grants, loans, grants and international investments. "
Najib explained that "investment in the public sector contributes to raising government revenues through the development of laboratories and tourist facilities and basic infrastructure of the country and roads and transportation." Ending / 25 d
