The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee expressed its concern over the issue of securing the Iraqi border and called for the strengthening of the border forces and the start of their redeployment.

A member of the Committee Ali al-Mutawati said in a press statement: "This subject did not take the real range, and we are still watching that there is something new during the next budget."

He added: "The Committee has made it clear to the defense and interior ministries and security officials that there are fragile areas where terrorists are moving along borders with neighboring countries." He called for the use of advanced technology, not old ones.
A member of the security committee: "There are techniques used by terrorists in communication is not controlled by the monitoring devices, a point that needs to be addressed."
