[rtl]Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on Monday that the government is close to providing salaries of employees of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, warning of a "serious issue" of the salaries of "followers of parties," while pointing to the near lifting of travel ban on airports in the region.[/rtl]
[rtl]"The federal government is very close to providing the salaries of Kurdistan region employees, but we want to have proper control to ensure that salaries do not go to parties," Abbadi said in an interview with the GermanDW channel. "This is a serious and important issue."[/rtl]
[rtl]He added that "the travel ban will be lifted soon from the airports of the Kurdistan region after the completion of negotiations," stressing that "the government deals with equality with all Iraqi citizens, including citizens of the region."[/rtl]
[rtl]Abadi said, "the failure of the referendum held last September to separate from Iraq," noting that "the referendum had serious consequences and we are dealing with them now."  [/rtl]
