    [ltr]Turkish Ambassador to Iraq Fatih Yildiz revealed that Turkish and Iraqi officials will begin meetings on border crossings.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"Iraq and Turkey will exchange close visits to discuss the issue of opening new border crossings," Fatih Yildiz told Turkish news agency Anatolia.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Yildiz added that "developments (referendum) in the north (Kurdistan region), proved that Ankara and Baghdad not to accept a single border port."[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The new border crossing will be very important in the field of trade with Iraq," he said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Pointing out that "among the topics that will be given great importance, the status of the Ibrahim al-Khalil border crossing, and the possibility of linking its administration in Baghdad, and if this is done, we will enter a new stage and very important in terms of customs taxes.[/ltr]
