Buthaina Shaaban, political and media adviser to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, said on Wednesday evening that her country is ready for war, pointing out that the resistance axis has its options and acts quietly and not subject to the language of intimidation.
"We are not afraid of war and we will be prepared for it if it takes place," Shaaban said in an interview with Al-Mayadeen channel. "The liberation of the eastern Ghouta represents a decisive point in the course of the global war on its country.
"The results of the war in Syria produced the opposite of the Western approach, which is the axis of its policies," she said. "This axis includes Russia, China, Syria and Hezbollah, an alliance for the future."
"The US threats to Syria are trying to raise the ceiling in order to gain gains," adding that "consultations continue between Syria's allies and they will not leave it going as Washington wants."
Shaaban pointed out that "the axis of resistance has its options and behaves quietly and is not subject to the language of intimidation against him," asserting "a significant contradiction in the US statements between the White House and the Ministries of Defense and State Department."
