    Shafaq News / The Integrity Commission announced the issuance of a court order entrusting Judge Izzat Tawfiq Jaafar as head of the agency. 
    A statement by the Authority that the Prime Minister Haider Abadi issued a decree on 5/7/2018 the text of the assignment of Judge Izzat Tawfiq Jafar to assume the functions of the Presidency of the Integrity Agency. 
    It is noteworthy that Judge Izzat Tawfiq Jaafar was appointed in 2009 as Vice-Chairman of the Integrity Commission, and was previously assigned in 2011 as the head of the Agency. 
    Hassan al-Yasiri submitted his resignation from the presidency of the Integrity Commission on May 9, after three years of commissioning agency. 
    On August 21, 2016, al-Yasiri called on Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to accept his resignation since the beginning of July of the same year, but al-Abadi asked to wait for it. 
    Yasiri's resignation came four days before the 2018 parliamentary elections.
