Oil prices fall to $ 73
Oil prices fell during Wednesday's trading to $ 73 per barrel, with expectations of an increase in US stockpiles and ahead of the announcement of final data later in the day.
By 0735 GMT, the benchmark Brent crude for October delivery fell 0.7% to $ 73.71 a barrel.
The price of NYMEX crude for September delivery was down $ 0.9 to $ 68.17 a barrel.
The US Petroleum Institute announced yesterday the rise in inventories by 5.6 million barrels last week against expectations of a decline of 2.8 million barrels.
The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) later announced today its inventory data for last week. Finished
