    The Export Council of Egyptian Agricultural Crops revealed on Monday that the total volume exported from the sector during the period from September 2017 to 2018 amounted to 3.973 million tons compared to 3.711 million tons during the same period of the export season 2016/2017 with a growth of 7%.

    A report by the Council pointed to a slight increase in the value of exports of Egyptian agricultural crops by 0.14% to record 2.114 billion dollars compared to 2.111 billion dollars during the same period of the export season 2016/2017.

    He pointed out that the Arab countries accounted for 36% of the value of exports of agricultural crops during the period from July of the 2017/2018 season, by about 771 million dollars, and accounted for 44% of the total quantities by about 1.745 million tons during that period.

    The value of exports of agricultural crops to European countries outside the European Union amounted to about 409 million dollars during the same period through the export of about 919 thousand tons during that period.

    The exported quantities of Egyptian agricultural crops to EU countries and the United Kingdom amounted to 846 thousand tons during the same period valued at 630 million dollars, while the value of exports of agricultural crops to the countries of Asia about 248 million dollars through the export of 410 thousand tons, and African countries about 27 million dollars worth 28 thousand tons, and the States of the Americas «North and South» about 25 thousand tons worth 29 million dollars.

    On the most important countries importing Egyptian agricultural crops during the 11 months of the current season 2017/2018, the report pointed to the Russian Federation exports 766 thousand tons worth 329 million dollars, followed by the second place in Saudi Arabia where 740 thousand tons were exported worth 311 million dollars, In the third place with about 236 thousand tons valued at 106 million dollars, followed by the Netherlands by 233 thousand tons worth 153 million dollars, and the United Kingdom ranked fifth in terms of countries importing Egyptian agricultural crops by 171 thousand tons worth 146 million dollars, and Iraq VI by about 138 thousand Ton worth 75 million dollars.

    Kuwait came in seventh place with about 138 thousand tons worth 48 million dollars, followed by China with 107 thousand tons worth 61 million dollars, followed by Oman with 106 thousand tons worth 40 million dollars and in tenth place Jordan by 94 thousand tons worth 40 million dollars.
