The committee of amendments to the rules of procedure of the House of Representatives headed by MP Sabah al-Saadi and the attendance of its members in its meeting on Sunday (November 25, 2018), amended the [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/107373/%D8%B5%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%AD%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%AA %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%84%D8%AC%D8%A7%D9%86]powers of the[/url] parliamentary [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/107373/%D8%B5%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%AD%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%AA %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%84%D8%AC%D8%A7%D9%86]committees[/url] .
In a statement, the Information Office of the House of Representatives said in a statement that "the Committee completed the paragraphs that are included in amendments to the rules of procedure of the House of Representatives in accordance with its adopted strategy of action, especially with regard to the powers and functions of the parliamentary committees to enhance the legislative and supervisory role of the Council."
The statement added that "MP Sabah al-Saadi, Chairman of the Committee on Amendments to the Rules of Procedure, expressed the Committee's readiness to receive all the proposals and observations of deputies to amend the rules of procedure."
He pointed out that "the meeting agreed to submit amendments to the rules of procedure of the Council to the Presidency of the House of Representatives tomorrow to be presented in the agenda to vote."
