{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) responded to reports that US troops had been deployed inside and around Baghdad International Airport.
"There is no truth to the news that some media outlets and social media outlets have reported on the deployment of foreign forces on or off the airport," said Jihad al-Darraji, director of media for the aviation authority.
Al-Daraji called on the media to deal professionally and accurately with the news and its credibility when publishing.
Some local media and websites reported that US forces had deployed along the road leading to Baghdad International Airport and had been deployed inside the corridors of the airport without knowing the reason behind the sudden deployment.
