Baghdad (dpa) - The Iraqi government announced yesterday considered Wednesday a public holiday in the city of Baghdad. They attributed the Iraqi government announcement holiday ?to allow the Iraqis to take over the voting card? for the legislative elections that take place on April 30 next year.
The media adviser to Prime Minister Ali al-Moussawi said that ?the Council of Ministers decided to consider on Wednesday a public holiday. He explained that ?disable always will be in Baghdad only to facilitate staff access to electronic voting card. The Commission announced on March 6 that the current total number of voters' cards distributor amounted to nine million, 135 thousand and 515 card, 47%, confirming that the number of cards distributed in Baghdad exceeded one million and 500 thousand. The parliamentary election is the biggest event in Iraq being a block that defines nominate the Prime Minister and received the top positions in the state.
It is scheduled to be held on April 30, 2014. Have begun to political movements active in several directions to form alliances in order to contest the election.
