{Baghdad: Al-Furat News} The Central Bank of Iraq, pledged huge annual allocations for the province of Basra.
"The Central Bank will provide Basra with 500 billion dinars annually by guaranteeing petro-dollar funds," said Ahmed Abdul-Hussain, head of the legal committee in the Basra provincial council.
He referred to "the bank's pledge to deposit the government of Basra 50 billion annually in government banks for 10 years to come as housing loans to citizens without interest." End
