Wasit Council: Our production of wheat and barley may reach one million tons

"Wassit province is ranked first in the production of wheat and barley, where it is hoped that the production after the harvest to more than one million tons, stressing that the abundance of water contributed significantly to increase production after 800 thousand tons last season.
A member of the provincial council, Ghaleb al-Ridini said in a statement to "Al-Maalouma" that "Wasit province occupies the first place in the production of wheat and barley crops, and it is hoped that the production in the current season to one million tons."
"Production of the last season of wheat and barley amounted to 800 thousand tons, while the abundance of water is not achieved. Today, the access to Wasit is sufficient to revive agriculture and increase production."
"The central government has promised to hand over the dues of farmers and farmers after a week of harvest," he said.
Al-Ridini said that "the farms started receiving agricultural crops harvested more than 10 days ago, and it is hoped that the harvest will increase more in the next few days." End 25 n
