"The arming of the Iraqi army at the present time tends to the American and away from the Russian, although the latter is more suited to the Iraqi soldier, in addition to the possibility of paying the amount in advance and the possibility of training and allowing the experts to mix with the soldiers," said the head of the committee, Mohammad Reza. And the rapid learning on how to use weapons, while the first needs for years in the supply of weapons and does not allow the introduction of Iraqi experts and engineers in courses to maintain those weapons, especially tanks.
"There is a tendency to diversify the sources of the Iraqi army's weapons from the countries of Russia, China, Japan and South Korea so that the armament will not be the monopoly of a particular country," he said.
