Britain, Iran, on Saturday, the release of the oil tanker that had already detained, in exchange for a condition related to Syria.
British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt, who said he told his Iranian counterpart that Britain would facilitate the release of the detained Iranian oil tanker Grace 1 if it received assurances it would not go to Syria.
The British minister said Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif told him Tehran's desire to resolve the issue of the carrier, and that it does not seek to escalate the situation.
On 4 July, the Government of Gibraltar announced the suspension, detention and shipment of an oil tanker carrying Iranian crude to Syria.
The reason for the suspension was the carrier's "violation" of the European Union's embargo on Syria.
On the same day, the Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the British ambassador to Tehran, Rob Makker, to protest the detention of the tanker.
