    Minister of Oil Thamir al-Ghadhban said on Thursday that the provisions of the budget law and disability are hindering the appointment of graduates of chemical engineering, pointing out that his ministry was able to find job opportunities for graduates of oil engineering and graduates of other engineering disciplines exceeded one thousand chances.
    "The Ministry of Finance did not give us the grades of graduates of chemical engineering of 2440 graduates because of the provisions of the budget law, and this is related to the House of Representatives and linked to funds, and funds are not available because of a budget deficit estimated at 21%," Ghadhban said in a statement.
    "The ministry will work with all its capabilities and influence on our oil companies to accommodate as many graduates as possible," Al Ghadhban said. "We will be addressing the Ministry of Finance to develop job grades for them, and we have already raised this issue in the Council of Ministers."
    He added that "the ministry and in the past months of this year was able to find employment opportunities for graduates of oil engineering and graduates of other engineering disciplines through the availability of vacant grades in the oil sector companies, which exceeded one thousand opportunities, as well as providing 200 jobs in the company refineries center, and 25 opportunities He worked for the Oil Products Distribution Company.
    It is noteworthy that a number of graduates of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering began the sit-in for more than a month demanding the ministry to appoint them to permanent owners.

    The Ministry of Oil announced on Thursday that it will provide 200 jobs for graduates of chemical engineering as construction contracts.
    "The ministry has provided vacant grades for graduates in companies (Basra oil, refineries of the south and refineries of the center)," a ministry statement said.

    "The graduates will be appointed in the form of the contract in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers No. (174) for the year 2019 and according to the terms of the announcement of appointment contained in the official website of the ministry."
