The leader of the National Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, accused the opposition of cutting off the road to those who participate in the government and disavowing them of "political hypocrisy."
This came during a meeting with Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, on Saturday evening, a group of elders and dignitaries of Iraq participating in the Baghdad Tribal Bureau.
"Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, after listening to their valuable interventions, stressed that the opposition is the most prominent tool and the most effective way to monitor the performance of the government and its demand to implement a government program that makes the aspirations of the people realistic," said a statement from his office.
"We have called on the MPs of the wisdom bloc to adopt important laws directly related to the life of citizens and work to include them in the agenda of the House of Representatives," adding "the importance of expanding the opposition front and the mobilization of popular opinion and tribal and elites to support."
He pointed out that "peaceful demonstrations demanding one of the most important tools and means of popular pressure exercised by the opposition to achieve the legitimate rights," declaring "the trend of national wisdom in the course of constructive opposition and rejection of the offers received and still to discourage him from this approach chosen to ensure the performance of the government and correct its course.
"The opposition boycotted the government, disowned it and criticized it," he said.
He pointed out that "quotas are the product of the participation of all and the elimination of them is through the creation of a loyal team and another opponent who lives and monitors." He stressed "the importance of the legislation of the Iraqi tribes' law and the need to limit the weapons to the state.
