    A former member of the Board of Trustees of the Media and Communications Authority Ali Al-Oussi criticized the performance of the Commission's work over the past period, pointing out that public opinion is "negative" towards the Commission.
    "The Media and Communications Commission is directly responsible for its work, service, development and expansion of its network and is responsible for taking financial benefits. The responsibility of the Telecommunications and Information Authority for the mobile phone network is very accurate and sensitive," Al-Oossi told the National Information Center (NNC).
    He explained that "the Telecommunications Authority and mobile phone companies are for investment," noting that "part of the work of the Information and Communication Authority to work on the development of investment, it is necessary to support companies because they support investment."
    "The Media and Communications Commission is responsible for the mobile phone companies operating in Iraq," he said. "They have to provide all the facilities for doing business for companies, and they are responsible for accounting for the work of these companies."
    "But encouraging investment and facilitating the work and mission of mobile phone companies does not mean that you do not lose sight of the accountability of mobile phone companies as well as Internet companies."
    Al-Oussi expressed his belief that "the Commission's follow-up and accountability was not at the required level during this period, despite the existence of some sanctions in the recent period, due to the poor performance of companies and poor quality of service, and the existence of some resentment and restlessness and there was a negative public opinion towards the Commission and companies and therefore Fines were imposed on the three companies, Zain, Asia Cell and Cork. "
    He concluded by saying, "The level of the Commission has become a deterioration in the level of companies and quality of service."
