[rtl]The Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Mr. Nawfal Baha Moussa, on Sunday discussed with the British Director of the Ministry of Development for Displaced Persons Laure Biofels and her accompanying delegation ways of cooperation to improve the situation of displaced families and returnees, especially those who migrated to the United Kingdom.[/rtl]





[rtl]"The two sides also discussed mechanisms to follow up the reconstruction of areas destroyed by ISIS terrorist gangs and the contribution of the British government and EU countries to support the stabilization process in the liberated areas," a ministry statement said.[/rtl]



[rtl]He pointed out that "the plans of the Iraqi government, whether in the area of ​​investment or support stability or the implementation of reconstruction programs are continuing and the ministry is working hard to build bridges to communicate with the Iraqi scientific competencies abroad and benefit from its expertise in building and developing the country."[/rtl]



[rtl]He pointed out that "there are some obstacles that caused the reluctance of many displaced families to return to their areas, the most important of which is the destroyed infrastructure, which contributed to the displacement of some families back to the camps, in addition to the lack of financial specialties suffered by the ministry, which made a large percentage of families The returnee does not receive the grants given to her. [rtl]"Besides the resettlement of some of the displaced families in the host areas where they have been displaced and their integration into the host community," he said.[/rtl]



[rtl]He expressed his hope to find the necessary support for the ministry and its categories of care to create jobs for the returnees in the liberated areas by giving them income-generating projects to help them and get their strength and encourage the remaining in the camps to return to their areas of origin.[/rtl]



[rtl]For her part, Laure Biofels expressed "the readiness of the British government to provide support to Iraq in the file of relief for the displaced."[/rtl]



[rtl]"The UK has provided support to Iraq on the issue of displaced persons over the past years," she said, stressing "continued support for Iraqi migrants and working with the Iraqi government represented by the Ministry of Immigration to find effective solutions for the return of those who remained in the camps to their areas of origin.[/rtl]
