(Baghdad: Euphrates News) Deputy criticized the draft law on the election of the House of Representatives sent from the Council of Ministers.
"The election law sent by the government guarantees the allocation of 50% of the proportional representation of party lists, as in previous elections, which allows party candidates to win seats in parliament and leave the remaining percentage of candidates who are candidates," said MP Sadoun al-Sulaiti. He stressed that "this law can not change anything from the political equation that led Iraq to what it is now."
He explained that "the bloc demands the adoption of the election law of the House of Representatives shall be reserved for those who receive the highest votes in his constituency, where we see that the real representation of the will of the voters is represented by this law."
